Alexander and everyone at California Nails salon were super helpful and thorough nail technicians. My daughter and I got lovely manicures dip and acrylic and they did a great job! The pink flower nails are acrylic and the silver sparkle nails are dip, both with tips. A great time was had by all, recommend. My daughter said this place is way better than the place in the mall. Alexander is hilarious too and made our girl date so much fun!???????? We had a great time. ????
First Time there. Was not Friendly . Walk in ask for a Fill in and the Lady said Pick a color. Wait was almost twenty mins , understandable there was Only two Workers. When the Lady finished my nails I ask her after I wash my hands can I have lotion. She put the oil on my nails that still had the file dust on them . That was a First and Last for Me. Why I still had glue around my nail?????

I went in on February 25th, for the first time ever to get acrylic fill-ins and a gel polish. The color I chose did not appear to be the color applied. I inquired about this and was told, “I don’t know why it doesn’t look the same.” I decided to just continue and maybe it would look better after they were complete. I paid, tipped, and left. Since then I’ve noticed my nails are lumpy and many of the nails aren’t even filed straight across. They are obviously uneven. I am currently in treatment for alcoholism and we are only allowed to have visits of that nature on the weekends. I called to see if I could arrange to just get a color change on the next Saturday and I would be happy enough for what I spent/tipped. I was told that despite my circumstances, which are medical, unless I can come in by tomorrow, they wouldn’t do anything. Very disappointing and shows the quality of business being offered at California Nails. A simple polish change for the next day I can come in, due to valid medical reasons, is not a lot to offer in exchange for providing an adequate customer experience/satisfaction. Especially, a customer trying to get better in treatment. I will make sure to pass my experience along. There are several salons in Lynchburg.
You get what you pay for here. I went to another nail shop. It was cheaper. I went there with a friend. I had to go back 3 times for them to fix my nails they told me not to wash my hands in hot water!! WOW really it's Covid out here!! I'll never go there again!! I can say I'm always happy with California Nails. Michelle & Alex are so kind & does a good job. They're fast too but they're good. I don't never have to go back to get any of my nails fixed. I go every 2 wks for a fill in & pedi. I'll never go to another nail shop California Nails is where I'll be going! Thanx
I came in this morning and they were so kind. not sure of his name but a man did my nails. He was very gentle and careful with my hands as well as very kind. It’s my second time going and they did amazing both times. Their pricing is 100% reasonable and i was happy to leave a tip. I will be back! Thank you.
they charge way too much to not give you what you want. i showed the man there a picture of the nails (pink nails) i wanted and he told me they “weren’t popping” and were “for white girls” he then gave me what he thought i should have which was absolutely hideous. they look like a 3 grade project. worst part was they were my birthday nails so i had to hide my hands in all my pictures. When he could tell I wasn’t liking the final product he paraded me around the shop showing these atrocious nails to everyone. after a couple days all the nails popped off because he didn’t file or trim my nails before putting on the acrylic.
